A unique and versatile composer, Brady Hearn takes a modern approach to film music and sound design, combining his knowledge of the classical arts with a modern appreciation for dramatic soundscapes and sound design. Brady has written for both film and television, most recently scoring the PBS documentary ‘More Than A Month’ with all original music. Having studied at one of the worlds leading conservatories with Dr. Reiko Fueting, his understandings of principles of harmony and melody take a clear precedent in his writing while his use of electronics and unusual sounds make for a visceral and omnipresent experience.

Brady Hearn was the 2007 recipient of the Fran Morgenstern Davis Award, presented to him by the ASCAP foundation. In 2011 he was chosen to write the music for the trailer representing the Columbia University Film Festival and has been the composer on numerous films, including ‘The Lake’ (Haung 2008), ‘Broken Reel’ (Secheret 2009), ‘Ge.hen’nah (Mueller 2009) ‘At Night I was Beautiful’ (Wilsey 2010), as well as an engineer, audio technician and mixer. Brady has been a member of ASCAP since 2006, is a graduate from the Manhattan School of Music and is currently living on the upper west side of New York as a freelance composer and engineer.
